The Park!

Mom and I just got back from the park! We had so much fun together. We walked for so long and I got to sniff everything and see all kinds of other dogs. Right as we were leaving a little girl pet me, she was so cute :) And the best part? Mom remembered the camera:

I am so cute!

Mom says I look a little...ahem under the influence in this one.

Stop with the pictures already!

Supermodel Pose

Ducks

AND geese!

That's a good smell.

Can we walk now?

FINALLY!

About halfway done and still ready for more!

And heading back to the car.

Fun Outing

Being released doesn't always mean you have to be a house dog. Today my mom and I went to a really big park to go to a craft fair. Mom made me wear my seatbelt in the car, which I did not appreciate. Hello! I was released for being body sensitive you know! Anyway, we walked around a lot and then found the fair and went shopping. Mom bought me homemade peanut butter treats which smell delicious, but I haven't had one yet. I met a lot of other dogs and all seemed to be friendly and, best of all, all of them were leashed! Mom promised to bring me back again and maybe next time she won't forget her camera...Have a great weekend!

Link Lists

I just added a link list to my blog. Let me know if you are on there and don't want to be or if you aren't on there and want to be.

Yum!

I experienced quite the treat the other day. Mom finished her peanut butter and gave me the jar to clean out. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves...

Hello!

My name is Irie and I am a beautiful black Labrador Retriever. I am just over 2 years old and I am full of energy! I've been living with my mom, Sarah, for over a year, total. I first met her on November 1st, 2006 when I was just 6 months old. She raised me to be a guide dog until November 2007, when I went into my formal harness training. After 8 long months in training I was a finished guide dog and ready to be matched with a person. I was out with my trainer one day when this big scary monster came and tried to eat us (Irie, it was definitely just a street cleaner-Sarah). So my trainer decided it would be best if I didn't become a guide dog. Boy was I happy when Sarah took me home! Now I get to eat whatever I want (Within reason, Irie-Sarah) and even sleep in bed with Mom! I am one lucky dog!

I love it when Mom takes me swimming-I am a Lab after all! Mom told me about this sport where I can run and dive into a pool. I really hope we can try that soon! I have to do something to expend some of my boundless energy! Keep checking back for updates and pictures of my life, I promise not to disappoint!
