SNOW!!!

Mom and that little brat...I mean Fay, came home last week. And then they left again...And then they came back. I was so confused, but Mom told me they are here to stay for a whole month! This weekend was the best ever. My pals Hattie and Edna came for a sleepover AND it snowed, what more could I ask for?

Thursday is my first Christmas as a pet. I can't wait for all my presents! It's hard to think that last year at this time I was hanging out with my pals in training and now I never have to leave my mom again. On Friday, we are going on a Christmas road trip. I am the only pup going, so I will be spoiled rotten by the family :)

Last Day of Vacation

Today is my last day of vacation up here with Fay and Mom. I've had a great time up here, but I miss Indiana, Grandma, and Grandpa. On Wednesday, we had some snow. That was a lot of fun!

On Thursday we went to the park. I love the park! Fay was pretty naughty and I tried to keep her in line, but there is only so much I can do. I am such a good girl compared to her!

On Saturday, the baby had a bath. I was a little nervous that I would have to go after her, but Mom said I was clean enough. I decided to help instead:

Tonight I got to go to puppy class. I haven't been to a puppy class in over a year, but this class was way more fun than any I remember. I went into another room from Fay and got to play with this cool chick, Kylie. Apparently we have the same mom, but we don't look anything alike!

Two other dogs played with us as well, but us girls were definitely the coolest :)

That's all for now. Just let me share one thing I have learned this week: Puppies are good for one thing...

I'm back!

Mom finally came home this weekend, I was so happy to see her again! Unfortunately, she brought that little brat with her, too...We had a great weekend playing in the back yard, going for walks, and eating our Kongs. Mom brought Indiana and I matching Christmas collars, we are too cute in them! On Sunday I came back to the apartment with Mom and Fay. I'm just staying for a few days, but I'm so happy to be back. I'm especially glad to have my, I mean Mom's bed back ;)

Quick Update

Sorry for the lack of posting lately...computer access here at Grandma and Grandpa's is limited. PLUS I am constantly playing with my pal Indiana, so there isn't much time for blogging.

As you all know a few weeks ago Mom picked up a new brat, I mean bundle of joy. That weekend was pretty crazy since we drove a long time in the car, then Mom threw this fuzzy shepherd thing into the car with me and she brought in this screaming puppy. I was not amused. Soon enough we were back at Grandma and Grandpa's and we got to play outside. It was so much fun.

That weekend we played mostly, and on Sunday was the big GEB Walkathon. It was a lot of fun. I saw my old trainer. He gave me a cookie, so I was happy to see him! We walked just one lap, and then went shopping. Mom bought some Kongs for Grandma to use since I am living here for a while. Mom's still waiting on pictures from her friend, so I'll post those as soon as I can. She did get a good one of me playing with my friends Farrell and Pandora. Pandora is Fay's mom, but she is my friend!

So we went home, and then Mom left without me! I was so sad, but then I realized I get to stay here! I love it here so much! They have a big yard to play in, not to mention Grandma gives us all kinds of yummy treats! I miss Mom, but I know she will be visiting a lot and I will go visit her, so it won't be so bad.

So far I have gone on a long walk a few times a week and I get yogurt-and-kibble Kongs everyday when Grandma goes to work. Yesterday we spent all day outside doing yardwork. Indiana and I had the best job-chewing our marrow bones. Yum!

My Vacation

Last Friday started out really badly. Mom was packing up all of her stuff and all of my stuff into the car. And then she left! I was so upset, but then she came back. She just went to class like she normally does on Fridays! Then we all loaded into the car and Mom made me wear my seatbelt. I don't care about being safe, I hate that thing! I even played Houdini once and slipped out of it without Mom noticing.

So we drove forever and ever, but we did get out every once in a while. I got to stretch my legs and Get Busy, and Mom was even fairly close on my dinner time. I slept a lot of the way, but I did take in some of the sites out the window:

We finally stopped for good around midnight. Boy was I excited when my Aunt Wendy greeted us at the door! I played a little bit and then Mom and I went to bed. I tried to sleep with her like normal but she kept kicking me out of bed. Something about an air mattress...?

The next day we went to take a walk around town. There was a big festival, so I was a little scared, but once we got out of the crowds, it was fine.

Wendy's house had a Labrador's best friend, a pool!!! I went swimming a lot. Mom even bought me a Wubba just for the occasion :)

Then on Monday we went back to the beach so I could play on my long line. It was a lot of fun until Mom started going in. I was so worried with the big waves that I would tow her back in every time she tried to swim. Mom thought it was funny, but I took my job very seriously.

Then, all too quickly we had to head home. Luckily we stopped at Grandma and Grandpa's for the night, so I got to see my Indiana. We had so much fun and I hear we will be going back there this week too. And now I leave you with my intense cuteness from the drive home :)

Yay for Puppy Pals!

On Sunday Mom and I headed out to go meet Yara and her mom. See the moms have been talking for a long time, but have yet to meet up even though we live less than 10 minutes from each other! We met up at their apartment and chaos ensued. I was so excited to see another dog and Yara was happy to meet me too. We did have to get ourselves together though because Yara is a guide dog and she had to work. We took a nice long walk through town and then went to lunch. Luckily we found a place with outside seating, so I could come. The waiter kept stepping on me, which Mom says is because I was in the way, but I still blame him...

Then we walked back and played at Yara's house. It was so much fun and I started scooting around and being crazy. Everyone was laughing at me! Yara and I spent a lot of time like this:

We each got a cookie and a drink and then we headed off to the pet store! Yara got some food and a new toy and Mom bought me a Wubba for this weekend's adventures. She also bought Yara a replacement Octupus because the one in the photo did not last through the Hulk-like strength of us sassy ladies!

It's really nice to have a new friend and hopefully we will do it again soon. I'll update next week about my exciting weekend adventures!

Spoiled!

Spoiled? Me? Never! I'm just well-loved...

This is from Mom's latest order from Cloudstar. Their cookies are the best and very healthy for us pups too! Mom said something about most of these being for the puppy. I don't know what that's all about. I am the princess so I should get all the cookies, right?

Dock Diving!

I told you Mom had something great planned for me today! We went dock diving.

We had to get up VERY early, which I wasn't too happy about. It is Saturday and I love to sleep in, so I was very grouchy. Luckily we had a long drive, so I got to catch some Z's while Mom got us there. We were one of the first people there, so we sat in the car for a while. I was so excited to see all the other dogs around, I even started whining a little. When we got out this lady with a pretty German Shepherd came up to us. She told Mom how cute I am, only the first of many throughout the day :) And then she introduced us to her dog, Puddin. Puddin is also a career-changed guide dog, but from a different school than me. We hung out with them all day and hopefully we will be able to see each other again, Puddin is a really cool girl!

Once we registered we got to have 2 hours of practice. Mom and I went onto the dock three times for practice. The first time I ran right into the water and then got really nervous because I didn't know how to get out and I couldn't see Mom over the dock. Luckily she came quickly and showed me the stairs, but after that I wasn't too sure about that whole diving thing. I liked to dive off the steps, but that isn't allowed. On our third practice run I was tugging on my toy and it ripped so Puddin's mom let us borrow her Wubba. Thank goodness she was there to save the day!

Then it came time for competition. There were 14 dogs there and they broke us up into 2 groups. There were all types of dogs, mostly Labs, but a few Labradoodles, mixes, Pointers, a golden, a Rottweiler and, of course, Puddin. Mom and I were in the first group, fifth slot. My first jump I hit the steps, so it didn't count, but my second jump Mom stood near the steps so I had to jump into the water. The judges gave me 3 feet for that! Unfortunately I didn't win, either the event or my level. The Rottie beat me in our level, novice, and one of the Pointers won overall with a jump of over 24 feet!

We only stayed for the one Wave, because Mom wanted to head home. I think I would have liked it better if it was just plain swimming, but maybe we'll try again soon. And now for what you all probably want, pictures:

Waiting to compete.

Up on the dock.

My jump. I tried so hard for the steps, but that fence blocked me!

I sure loved the swimming, though!

My pal, Puddin. She was so good, she got over 10 feet!

This is the dog that won. Look how high he is!

Look at my cool ribbon!

I slept the entire drive home. I was just so tired! When we got back Mom gave me a bath to get all the pool chemicals off my coat. Then she clipped my nails, cleaned my ears, and brushed me. She even gave me extra dinner WITH yogurt mixed in for being such a good girl! I really should try this diving thing more often...

My Week

Well last weekend was Labor Day Weekend. Mom and I went home to visit my best pal, Indiana:

We got to play all weekend in the backyard and it was so much fun! My pal Royce also visited one night, which was cool. I love to play with him since Indiana doesn't always play like I do. We also went for a nice long walk early on Monday morning. That was nice since it was really cool and quiet.

This week I didn't do too much. I did teach myself a new trick since Mom's windows are so hard to look out of. Check me out:

On Friday, Mom and I went for a walk in town. We waited until later, but it was still pretty hot. She even made me wear my booties! I hate those things, but they did keep my feet from burning, so that was OK, I guess...

On Saturday, Royce came to visit me. We had so much fun, until he got to go shopping with Mom and his mom and I had to stay home :( I miss the days when I was able to go everywhere with Mom. Such is the life of a pet, huh? But then they came back and we played some more, until they went home. Roger also came to visit. I liked him because I bossed him around. He listened well for an older guy :)

Yesterday, Mom and I went to the park for a whole hour! We ran and walked and played. It was so much fun. For the whole rest of the day I was wiped out. I slept really well last night!

I don't think anything cool is happening this week, but I will post if that changes. Mom did say she has a special surprise for me on Saturday. I can't wait!

Check out the new links I added for my fave food and treats. Mom just sent in an order to Cloudstar-I am already drooling just thinking about it. Yum!

The Park!

Mom and I just got back from the park! We had so much fun together. We walked for so long and I got to sniff everything and see all kinds of other dogs. Right as we were leaving a little girl pet me, she was so cute :) And the best part? Mom remembered the camera:

I am so cute!

Mom says I look a little...ahem under the influence in this one.

Stop with the pictures already!

Supermodel Pose

Ducks

AND geese!

That's a good smell.

Can we walk now?

FINALLY!

About halfway done and still ready for more!

And heading back to the car.
